East Bay Animators Assemble

Another get together in Emeryville next Friday Aug. 19 @ 7pm

For three and a half years, this spinoff group of animators from ASIFA-SF has added something new to the organization: They meet 5 or 6 times a year for screenings of member’s work-in-progress, and offer constructive feedback. When the group was started by Julie Bayless, all that she really wanted to do was connect with other struggling, isolated artists. But over time, a core group developed, and most of them either finished films, won awards, or got full-time work in the process. Coincidence?

You can join the party too—animators at all levels are welcome. Just bring some footage, artwork or just an idea to talk about. Leave a message here on the site and we’ll get back to you with directions. Snacks will be served.

I’m down the Peninsula and have been doing animation for only a month now, but I have a project that I would very much like to get some feedback on!

Hi! I live in San Francisco. I have been working on a stop motion animation for a few months, it is my first experience with making a short film like this and I would really appreciate some feedback on some of the work I have done so far!
I am very happy to have found this community site, I will be looking forward to hearing back from you!
