See Something ParaNormal at the Cartoon Art Museum
Next time you’re in San Francisco, why not chuck the shopping bags for the afternoon and check out The Art of ParaNorman—The exhibition features concept art, puppets, sets and more from LAIKA’s second stop-motion animated film to be shot in 3D. In stop-motion animation, everything seen on screen actually exists in the real world, as opposed to computer-generated animation. So in addition to 2-dimensional paintings, sketches and the like, there’s a wealth of ultra-detailed little people, critters, clothes and the like. In other words, the coolest toys you can’t get under the holiday tree, but you’d wish you had!
The Cartoon Art Museum is conveniently located on Mission near 3rd Street; visit their website for the full details.
